3rd Edition of the Public Health and Midwifery World Conference 2027

Scientific Sessions - PHMWC 2027

Digital Health and AI

Digital technologies and artificial intelligence are changing how health care is delivered, monitored and planned. From mobile apps that support pregnant women to dashboards that track maternal deaths and algorithms that read medical images, these tools can widen access and improve decisions, if they are used safely and fairly.

This session explores real-world uses of digital health and AI and the skills and safeguards needed to use them well. It brings together clinicians, midwives, data scientists, public health professionals, educators and policymakers.

Key topics include AI for medical imaging and diagnosis, data dashboards for maternal and public health indicators, telehealth and virtual antenatal care, mobile health programs and hybrid digital-physical education, health information systems, preparing the health and midwifery workforce to question, verify and lead AI, digital literacy and the digital divide, data privacy and ethics, and evaluating digital interventions.

We welcome original research, tool development, implementation studies and policy perspectives. Participants will gain a practical understanding of how to adopt digital health responsibly and equitably.
